The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full time, Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity Specialist, Mission Systems Administrator / Signature Reduction Silo Tech (GG-2210-12), working at the 367th Cyberspace Operations Squadron (COS), Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), in San Antonio, Texas.
Salary ($103,225 - $134,195) based on experience
This position may offer recruitment and/or retention incentives based on experience.
This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) Personnel System position aligned under authorities of Section 1599f, of Title 10, Chapter 81 United States Code and DOD Instruction 1400.25-V3007.
Required 3-year probationary period for new Federal government appointments.
CES applies and documents Veterans' Preference IAW DoDI 1400.25, Volume 3005.

Qualifications/Requirements:
In this position you will serve as an IT Specialist with the responsibility to design, build, defend, and maintain the 67 Cyberspace Wing, 67 Cyberspace Operations Group, 367 COS' cyber mission infrastructure in support of national priorities.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain & maintain a "Top Secret/SCI" Security clearance
Incumbent may be required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate level Information Assurance (IA) certification within 6 months of assigned duties.
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance.
• Knowledge of network systems design principles, methodologies and approaches used in developing, testing, installing, operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
• Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.
• Knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions.
• Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
• Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems, provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers, and maintain liaison with industry and other activities to provide awareness of state-of-the-art technology; and to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate network systems and computer applications from an operational perspective.
