Job description

Our nationally accredited treatment centers include Vogue Recovery Center, Footprints to Recovery, Royal Life Centers, and South Coast Behavioral Health.

Position: Behavioral Health Technician or CNA with QMAP | Footprints to Recovery, Detox and Residential- Aurora, CO | PART TIME 6 PM to 6 AM Sunday

Footprints to Recovery’s approach to drug and alcohol treatment and medical detox is simple; we listen and make use of new methods, research, and activities to assist in recovery. Every individual presents with a different story that is unique to him or her. From the first contact to individual, group, or family sessions we work with our clients to develop a personalized plan that addresses each client’s needs. We are looking for a dynamic Behavioral Health Tech to support clinical and non-clinical staff as well as building administration in the provision of technical and auxiliary clinical services to ensure comprehensive and effective daily programming and functionality.

Job Duties:

  • BHT/CNA collects, monitors, and documents urinalysis samples and breathalyzer screenings
  • Is responsible for conducting rounds on a 15 or 30 minute schedule to ensure patient safety “signs of life” during hours of scheduled shift
  • Send out daily email communications "shift report" to multi disciplinary team as needed and at close of every shift
  • Assists with all admissions via extensive property search of each new patient, and obtaining signatures on consents and releases of information upon arrival
  • BHT/CNA monitors and maintains inventory of all supplies and storage closet, and advises supervisor when supplies are due to be ordered
  • Facilitates groups on life skills and relapse prevention as well as outings to recovery meetings in the community
  • The BHT/CNA is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the cleanliness of the building
  • Assists patients with basic needs ie. laundry, cleaning, maintaining ADL's
  • Prepares patient rooms for new admissions
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Regulations pertaining to client confidentiality
  • The BHT/CNA schedules and provides transportation in accordance with transportation policy and procedures
  • Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles
  • The BHT/CNA maintains travel logs and vehicle safety checklists, assists with Environment of Care (EOC) duties as instructed in accordance with state and Joint Commission guidelines.
  • The Behavioral Health Technician provides support to clinical staff and medical staff
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Current CPR certification
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly
  • Must have a strong ability to multi-task
  • Must have knowledge of all Microsoft Office suites including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge in the field of Substance Use Disorders
  • Experience with EMR’s (Electronic Medical Records)
  • CNA License
