Busy Dealer-Owned Collision Center **************** SIGN-ON BONUS FOR TECHS WITH FACTORY CERTIFICATIONS, I-CAR, or ASE TRAINING **************** ************** Air Conditioned Shop ****************** Automotive Technician โ€“ Diagnostics & Mechanical Repair (Collision Environment) We are a multi-certified, high-end collision center looking for a dedicated mechanic to support our repair process.
This role complements our body technicians โ€” it does NOT replace body tech positions. We are seeking a skilled technician with strong experience in: Diagnostics across multiple makes and models (domestic & import) Electrical, drivability, and ADAS systems (preferred) Suspension repair (REQUIRED โ€“ strong proficiency expected) General mechanical repair related to collision work This position plays a critical role in ensuring vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition or better, following manufacturer specifications.
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Diagnostics & Mechanical Repair: Perform accurate diagnostics across a wide range of vehicle systems Complete suspension repairs, steering components, and related systems to OEM standards Handle mechanical repairs tied to collision damage (cooling systems, subframes, alignments, interior -dashboards, SRS, etc.) Repair Planning: Approach repair planning with urgency and attention to detail to reduce rework Assist in disassembly, identifying hidden damage and mechanical needs early Parts Procurement: Identify required parts using manufacturer guidelines Team Engagement & Problem-Solving: Work closely with repair planners, body, and paint teams to keep vehicles on schedule Assist in troubleshooting complex repairs across departments Vehicle Repair Quality: Perform repairs without defects Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards Follow OEM procedures and quality control processes Safe & Organized Workplace: Follow all safety protocols and proper repair procedures Maintain a clean, organized work area Qualifications Strong diagnostic ability across multiple makes and models Proven experience in suspension and steering system repairs Knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures Experience with electrical and drivability diagnostics (ADAS a plus) Ability to use measuring and alignment equipment (preferred) Valid driverโ€™s license with clean driving record Commitment to ongoing training and development Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing Manual dexterity and coordination required Comfortable working in a shop environment (noise, dust, etc.) Benefits Include Competitive compensation (based on experience) Medical benefits Paid time off Employee discounts (vehicles, parts, service) Manufacturer and industry training Career advancement opportunities Employee recognition programs When you join our organization, youโ€™ll gain access to top-tier training, a strong team environment, and the opportunity to work on late-model, high-end vehicles.
