Description:

As our Shuttle Operator, you will responsible for customer relations and transporting guests between nearby Resorts & Campgrounds and local attractions, theme parks, wineries, and events.


This is a seasonal position that may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Greet guests and customers while assisting them in and out of the shuttle as needed
  • Monitor and address ongoing maintenance needs of the shuttle, including fueling the vehicle and regular oil changes
  • Communicate maintenance needs to the Resort Manager
  • Follow safety laws and procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles
  • Provide information and respond to guest inquiries regarding local attractions, directions, etc. to ensure guest satisfaction is maximized
  • Stock shuttle with water and snacks; replenishes as necessary, at select locations
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shuttle, both inside and outside, including window washing and trash removal
  • Book shuttles in the reservation system for transportation to events and verify passenger information, if applicable
  • Maintain a log of travel destinations, number of guests, vehicle mileage, and expenses


Job Qualifications:

  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Valid chauffeur's license at select locations is required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
