Job Corps is the largest federal residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. We help eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, train them for meaningful careers, and assist them with obtaining employment and independence. By offering hands-on training in fields like manufacturing, health care, technology, and construction, we prepare students for lifelong careers in the industries that power America. Since 1964, Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals.

Our Shriver campus is located right off of Route 2 in Devens, MA and services between 200 and 300 students at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. As a residential program, we function like a mini college campus, complete with a gym, basketball courts, dormitories, full-service cafeteria, wellness clinic, classrooms, trade workshops, offices, and more.

Job Description

The Outreach & Admissions (OA) Supervisor identifies and develops Center-beneficial partnerships that lead to student benefit and success. Responsible for the recruitment and arrival coordination of the Job Corps students, provides oversight of studentโ€™s case management, and supervises our team of six Admissions Counselors.

This role is eligible for a base salary of $60,000/year plus a monthly performance-based incentive.

Responsibilities

  • Develops Center-beneficial linkages within the community for enrollment, education, employment, Career Technical Training and Work-based Learning opportunities
  • Promotesย ย aย ย positiveย ย imageย ย ofย ย theย ย Centerย ย andย ย Jobย ย Corpsย ย andย ย establishesย ย meaningfulย relationships with elected officialsย andย otherย appropriateย communityย partners.ย 
  • Followsย allย integrityย guidelinesย andย proceduresย andย ensuresย noย manipulationย ofย studentย data.ย 
  • Ensuresย Centerย andย Contractย meetsย orย exceedsย DOL/Companyย performanceย goals.ย 
  • In Partnership with the OA/CTS Director; interviews, recommends for hire, disciplines and evaluates performance of OA staff.
  • Provides required/supplemental training, monitors staffโ€™s progress, approves timecards and vacation requests.
  • Otherย dutiesย asย assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree inย ย humanย ย services,ย ย psychology,ย ย counseling,ย ย education,ย ย socialย ย science,ย business, communications,ย orย closelyย relatedย fieldย fromย anย accreditedย school required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ experience in Admissions
  • Must possess valid MA Driver's License and meet insurability requirements
  • Supervisory experience preferred
