Job description

Hajoca Corporation is one of the country's largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, Hajoca is a company based on the principles of "Service, Integrity, Reliability," and on relationships of trust and support with teammates, customers, and suppliers. Throughout its history, Hajoca has played an active role in shaping advances in plumbing. However, we attribute our success to two simple truths; a unique business philosophy and talented people. Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations, called Profit Centers (PCs), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what's special about each local marketplace.
Cowan Supply is one of those trade names and is looking for a Sales Intern at their Atlanta, GA location.

  • Effectively listen, communicate, and interact with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Confidently assist customers and/or business partners.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to learn a variety of business functions and why they are important.
  • Make a difference by impacting the business in a positive way through daily work and/or business projects.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, or a recent graduate within the last 60 days.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver's license.

Our ideal candidate will also:
  • Be able to excel in a wide range of tasks and showcase both interpersonal and critical-thinking skills.
  • Possess excellent customer service, communication, telephone, and listening skills, as well as the ability to persuade

  • Be able to quickly develop a comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.

  • Possess a high level of organization and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for sales operations.
  • Be able to prioritize work projects and multi-task.
