As part of Plimpton & Hills Corporation, our showroom professionals play a vital role in supporting both retail and trade customers by delivering exceptional service, building strong customer relationships, and helping customers confidently navigate product selections, ordering, and project needs.
Position Purpose:
The Showroom Customer Care Representative serves as a primary point of contact for showroom customers, providing exceptional service and support through phone, email, and in-person interactions. This role is responsible for coordinating customer communications, scheduling appointments, supporting order management activities, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from initial inquiry through delivery.
Essential Functions:

  • Promptly and professionally answer incoming showroom calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers via phone and email.
  • Schedule and coordinate customer showroom appointments.
  • Provide customers with accurate order status updates and follow up as necessary.
  • Perform inventory and stock availability checks.
  • Coordinate product releases and schedule customer deliveries.
  • Provide accurate directions and location information for all showroom locations.
  • Identify customer needs by asking appropriate questions and responding with helpful solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a customer-focused approach in all interactions.
  • Promote and encourage customer use of the Waterware website and online resources.
  • Process customer payments, including credit card transactions, and perform basic pricing calculations accurately.
  • Transfer calls efficiently and accurately to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Participate in product knowledge, customer service, and company training programs as assigned.
  • Support showroom operations by maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to showroom dress code standards.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including required Saturday hours.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Experience, Education & Skills:
  • Two years customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; verbally and written
  • High School diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
