Shoreline engineers often work in dynamic environments where natural conditions such as tides, storms, and erosion can rapidly change project requirements. One common challenge is balancing environmental preservation with the needs of development or coastal protection. Staying current with regulatory requirements and advances in coastal engineering technology is also crucial for overcoming these challenges.
