Field Safety Advisor - St. Louis, MO
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: Long-Term (Up to 5 Years)
Schedule: 60 hours/week (6 x 10s + occasional Sundays)
Openings: Immediate need (1 hire, scaling up to 5)
About the Opportunity
OnPoint Industrial Group is hiring Field Safety Advisors for a major, long-term construction project in St. Louis. This is a high-impact role on a large-scale, ground-up build with significant overtime and strong earning potential.
If you have experience in steel erection, rigging, or heavy construction safety, this is a project you'll want to be part of.
Project Scope
  • Large-scale, ground-up construction project
  • Heavy steel erection and structural work
  • Deep foundations and critical lifts
  • Multiple union trades on site under a general contractor
  • High-risk environment: rigging, lifts, confined space, and work at heights
What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day safety efforts on an active construction site
  • Monitor steel erection, rigging, and high-risk work
  • Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and inspections
  • Review lift plans and critical permits
  • Support field crews with hazard recognition and safe work practices
  • Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions
  • Deliver orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training
  • Partner with project teams and subcontractors to maintain compliance
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • Experience with steel erection, rigging, and/or deep foundation work
  • Background in heavy industrial or large commercial construction
  • Experience working with union labor is a big plus
  • Safety degree preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
  • OSHA 30
  • CHST or GSP
  • Rigging or Signal Person
