Safety Coordinator

Project Details
  • Location: Chicago, IL
  • Duration: Approximately 6 Months
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays
  • Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week
  • Employment: W-2
  • Pay: Hourly, Paid Weekly
  • Per Diem: Available for qualified travelers
What You'll Do
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and field observations
  • Lead toolbox talks and pre-task planning meetings
  • Monitor OSHA and client compliance
  • Support supervisors with hazard identification and mitigation
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Maintain safety documentation and reporting
  • Help foster a positive, proactive safety culture
What We're Looking For
We're looking for professionals who are confident in the field, approachable with crews, and comfortable having the conversations that keep projects moving safely. The right candidate understands that safety is built through relationships, consistency, and credibility-not simply enforcing rules.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and alongside project leadership
  • Construction project safety experience preferred
  • EM 385 Certification preferred
  • OSHA Certification (30, 510, or 500) in Construction
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid Driver's License
