We offer a customer- and team member-centric work environment where, together, we deliver care that starts with a visit and lasts a lifetime!
Our mission is clear - to become the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents and partners, everywhere. This is an opportunity to join the industry leader that not only cares about what you do, but what you need as a person. We'll provide comprehensive benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive environment where you can thrive and make an impact. Join the team that understands that caring for the pets we love starts with greater care for our veterinary team members-where compassion meets technology, and care starts with every virtual connection.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Telemedicine Veterinarians, empowering them to deliver high quality teletriage support and telemedicine care focused on small animals, with the potential to expand into other areas of animal care.
  • Provide direct oversight, offering support, feedback, and professional development opportunities to veterinary team members.
  • Collaborate with Veterinary Operations, IT, Product, and Design teams to identify and implement platform improvements, ensuring seamless telemedicine services.
  • Assist in refining and updating SOPs to improve efficiency, compliance, and performance of the telemedicine program.
  • Monitor team performance and adherence to telemedicine best practices, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care standards.
  • Foster an environment of open communication, teamwork, and accountability, providing guidance and removing obstacles for the veterinary team.
  • Act as a veterinary subject matter expert, contributing to business improvements, program expansions, and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to support onboarding and training for new hires.
  • Participate in business development and industry events to represent Connect with a Vet, providing insights and feedback as needed.
  • Support quality assurance by reviewing feedback, identifying opportunities for coaching, and implementing process improvements.
  • Support Connect with a Vet affiliates in other areas where veterinary experience may be needed.
  • Occasionally provide direct telemedicine services, including patient evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning, as needed.

What You'll Need:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) or equivalent is required.
  • Must be authorized to practice within the United States (Proof of ECFVG or other foreign equivalent examination is required for graduates of foreign schools or non-AVMA accredited veterinary colleges).
  • Be a licensed veterinarian in good standing with the medical board in at least one state, preferably Virginia or Florida, and be able to timely obtain and maintain licensure in other states as required for telemedicine services.
  • 3+ years of small animal veterinary experience, including virtual care or telemedicine experience.
  • Previous leadership experience (team lead, supervisor, or manager role preferred) with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop veterinary professionals.
  • Strong operational and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze trends and implement improvements.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with workforce management software, teleconferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams), and veterinary practice management or telemedicine tools. Must be comfortable and adept at interacting with customers and Connect with a Vet team members through remote online platforms.
