Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Weld Shop Helper position for a commercial door manufacturer located in Hillsboro , OR. The person in this position will be assisting in their metal department and support activities of the welding team. Looking for someone who would like to train up into a welding and fabrication position!
Pay: $19-$20/hr to start
Metal Shop Helper Responsibilities
  • The shop helper will assist with prepping tools and materials as well as follow welders instructions.
  • Prep for locking hardware on doors and install windows as well.
  • Prime painting materials
  • Grind Welds and fine corners
  • Install Windows in doors
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work areas
  • Identifying safety risks and hazards and complying with relevant safety procedures and regulations
  • Others duties as assigned

Metal Shop Helper Qualifications:
  • 6 mos of experience in metal fabrication would be preferred BUT no experience is required as long as you have a desire to be trained.
  • Able to heavy lift. We promote team lifting!
  • Show up everyday and be on time and ready to work.
  • Able to use and operate hand tools & grinders
  • Desire to create a long term working relationship.
