Job description

Shop Helper

Pay: $18.00 / hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper to assist with daily production and shop operations. This is a hands-on position that supports multiple areas of the shop, including material handling, cleaning, deburring, parts washing, packaging, and general shop maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Load and move parts and materials to the appropriate workstations
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, boxes, and materials
  • Help load and unload parts from machines as needed
  • Move finished parts to the next stage of the production process
  • Clean and wash finished parts using parts washers, water, and coolants
  • Operate ultrasonic/sonic machines to clean and tumble parts
  • Assist with deburring and inspecting finished metal parts
  • Assist the shipping department with packaging and preparing finished parts for shipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop floor
  • Sweep floors and perform general shop cleanup
  • Operate floor buffers approximately twice per week
  • Use basic hand tools and shop equipment as needed
  • Perform other general shop support duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Willingness to learn new skills and processes
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing/shop environment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed
  • Previous manufacturing or shop experience is helpful but not required
