Job Description:

We’re partnering with a leading commercial glass and glazing contractor seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead their fabrication operations. As a Shop Foreman, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing daily shop activities, ensuring that fabrication schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are strictly followed.

This position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational ability, and clear communication with project managers and field teams to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Leadership
  • Direct and motivate a crew of four employees, assigning work and setting schedules.

Workflow Management

  • Coordinate tasks and prioritize work orders to ensure projects are completed on time for shipment.

Quality Control

  • Inspect work in progress to maintain high-quality standards and verify all components are ready for delivery.

Communication

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Field Foremen regarding progress updates and potential issues.

Record Keeping

  • Receive and store materials in a secure, organized manner.
  • Tag materials for jobs, including PM names and job identifiers.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure proper use of equipment and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Overtime: Anything over 40 hours will be paid at time-and-a-half

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a shop foreman or lead role within the glass and glazing industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of glass and glazing materials and fabrication processes
  • Commitment to safety and quality control standards.
