Keep it Green, Keep it Moving: Maintenance Supervisor Wanted in Chesapeake! 🚛💨
Are you a master of the machine? A diesel-devoted leader who thrives where the rubber meets the road? GFL Environmental is looking for a powerhouse Maintenance Supervisor to lead our fleet team in Chesapeake, VA!
At GFL (Green For Life), we don't just manage waste; we're on a mission to keep our communities clean and sustainable. We need a supervisor who brings high energy, technical brilliance, and a "get it done" attitude to our shop.
What You'll Be Doing (The Fun Stuff):
• Command the Shop: Oversee the daily hustle of our maintenance department. You're the conductor of this diesel-powered orchestra!
• Coach & Mentor: You aren't just a boss; you're a pro trainer. Lead, inspire, and develop a team of skilled technicians to be the best in the business.
• The Tech Wizard: Use the M5 Planner to schedule repairs, track parts, and ensure our fleet-from heavy-duty trucks to alternative fuel vehicles-is in peak condition.
• Safety First, Always: Ensure every bolt is tight and every repair meets our gold-standard safety and federal/state regulations.
• Problem Solver: Dive into complex diagnostics and lead the way on advanced preventive maintenance.

What's in Your Toolbox?
• Experience: At least 3 years of heavy diesel truck maintenance and 1+ year in a leadership or lead tech role.
• Knowledge: You know your way around engines, emissions, hydraulics, and air brakes like the back of your hand.
• Skills: You're a pro with Microsoft Office and can juggle schedules and budgets without breaking a sweat.
• Grit: You're ready to lift 50 lbs, work in the shop environment, and lead from the front.

Why Join the GFL Family?
• Stability: Work for an industry leader with a massive footprint and a "Green" future.
• Growth: We value your leadership-your input helps drive hiring, promotions, and shop goals.
• The Vibe: A fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your hard work is seen and rewarded.

Ready to Lead the Charge?
If you're a self-starter who loves a challenge and wants to make a real impact on the environment (and a fleet of awesome trucks), we want to hear from you!
We thank you for your interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
