Job description

Description
The Range Safety Officer (RSO) enforces safe firearm handling. RSO is accountable for executing all Range Safety Processes and as such, must pay attention to the range while maintaining strong mental focus on safety, must be able to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while remaining constantly vigilant to ensure safety of all guests and Shooters World staff.
This position is eligible for commission on top of hourly rate.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Deliver the World's Greatest Firearm Experience
• Ensure unwavering control over the safety of all range guests and Shooters World team members by observing all users and respectfully, but immediately, addressing any behavior that could be considered unsafe.
• Enforces all safety range rules and regulations. Must monitor all activity on the range at all times.
• Must have expansive knowledge about operation of firearms and ammunition.
• Safely and effectively handle range experience firearms and customer firearms.
• Provide concise, and comprehensive range briefings to all range guests.
• Must be able to communicate in a professional, polite, and respectful manner with all Shooters World guests.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of Range Safety Officer (RSO) experience
• Must be observant and possess the ability to make quick and accurate decisions
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide premier customer service.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a high paced work environment
• Proven ability to manage and adhere to processes
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions
• Have critical thinking skills, as well as analytical skills
• Functional proficiency with computer programs and systems
• Be an individual who is driven, confident and flexible
