Job description

The ideal candidate will perform shipyard industrial electrical projects along with shipyard production electrical projects. Job requirements include:
• Perform installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronic systems for production and facility projects.
• Take appropriate corrective and proactive measures to maintain equipment availability.
• Provide reliable service of electrical systems that will allow the shipyard to meet availability targets.
• Follow environmental and safety regulations and act in compliance with US laws.
• Prepare and/or study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and facility maps to ensure installation and operations conform to NEC and OSHA standards and shipyard requirements.
• Confer with supervisory representatives to discuss existing or potential electrical projects.
Experience with providing electrical maintenance and repair to marine vessels and/or industrial high voltage electrical experience a plus. The ability to work nights and weekends required. Shipyard or military experience a plus. College associate degree or technical training and three to five years of electrical experience required; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
