FabMax is a leading precision sheet metal fabrication company serving customers in a variety of industries. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will ensure customer orders are accurately packaged, documented, and shipped on time while maintaining a safe and organized shipping department.


The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying product accuracy, generating shipping documentation, coordinating carrier pickups, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This position works closely with Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Purchasing to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.


  • Prepare customer orders for shipment according to work orders and customer requirements.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, revisions, and shipping documentation before shipment.
  • Package products to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Create shipping labels and required documentation using ERP and shipping software.
  • Coordinate shipments with UPS, FedEx, LTL, and other freight carriers.
  • Load and unload shipments safely using material handling equipment as needed.
  • Maintain shipping logs, packing lists, bills of lading, and related records.
  • Ensure shipments meet customer, quality, and company requirements.
  • Communicate shipping issues or delays to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
