Job description

Shipping And Receiving Coordinator
Pay $18-$21
First shift: Monday – Friday
Shipping And Receiving Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Track orders from request to shipment completion, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation.
  • Communicate via email throughout the shipping process, including order initiation, updates, and completion notifications.
  • Enter parts onto transfer purchase orders as required.
  • Manage all shipping and receiving transactions in ERP systems (VL10A, VL10B, VL02N).
  • Pull parts for orders using forklifts, stand-up lifts, or cherry pickers.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
  • Take detailed photos of all parts and shipments, logging them for recordkeeping.
  • Record weights and dimensions for all outgoing shipments and send information within three hours.
  • Schedule domestic and international shipments using UPS and FedEx.
  • Load and unload shipments safely using a forklift.
  • Verify incoming shipments against receiving paperwork, noting discrepancies and notifying purchasing or quality control as needed.
  • Deliver issued parts to designated areas or notify responsible personnel for collection.
  • Stock parts onto shelves using a forklift or stand-up lift, ensuring all items are visibly labeled with part numbers and descriptions.
  • Document stocking locations on receiving paperwork, then scan and attach documents to the PO in SAP.
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with all relevant departments.
  • Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Submit supply orders for necessary shipping and receiving materials.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning and organization throughout the warehouse, including sweeping and trash removal.
  • Assist other departments (receiving, production, assembly, fabrication, etc.) as workload permits.
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Shipping And Receiving Coordinator Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with ERP software (SAP S4 preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of working with minimal standardization.
  • Able to interpret written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions.
  • Excellent multitasking, organization, and communication skills.
  • Willing to work extended hours or travel when necessary to meet project deadlines.
Experience
  • 3–5 years of directly related shipping and receiving experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and work in warehouse environments.
  • Must have the physical and mental ability to travel independently and comply with standard safety procedures.
