SHOP HELPER
Duties and Responsibilities
- Training in various roles throughout the shop
- Transport parts to staging area for production using equipment such as forklifts, hoists, or pallet jacks.
- Load, unload, wash, and stack production parts to prepare for heat treatment.
- Unpack and re-pack finished parts in containers for shipment.
- Assist with shipping / receiving duties
- Operate equipment to clean parts.
- Communicate problems to supervisor and operator.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep area orderly.
- Straighten parts and help furnace/machine operators
- Other duties and training as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic forklift experience needed
- Able to lift up to 20-50lbs
- Mechanically inclined
- Good attendance and great attitude!
- Attention to detail
- Some computer skills needed for the data entry and order form organization
- Able to be on your feet for shift
- Bending, pushing, pulling
Details:
- Day Shift
- Open to some flexibility but around 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Monday - Friday
- 40 hours a week
- $19 - $20/hr to start and lots of room for wage growth
- This can be a "stepping stone" position you'll be trained on the machinery to eventually be moved into more responsibility and wage growth if you are interested!
