Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our clients aerospace manufacturing team. This is a clerical, office-based position focused on shipping and receiving documentation, data entry, inventory transactions, and customer/vendor communication. No forklift operation or material handling equipment experience is required.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with shipping documents, inventory records, or order processing.

Responsibilities

  • Process shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and efficiently
  • Enter and maintain data in company inventory system
  • Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, bills of lading, and related paperwork
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipment information against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Maintain inventory records and update system transactions
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and carriers regarding shipments
  • File and organize shipping and receiving documentation
  • Track deliveries and resolve discrepancies when needed
  • Answer phone calls and emails related to shipping and receiving activities
  • Support general administrative and clerical tasks within the department

Qualifications

  • Previous clerical, administrative, customer service, shipping office, receiving office, inventory control, or data entry experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
