Stock received materials.  Pick, package and ship materials.  Check parts to ensure

order requirements are met, crate machinery and package equipment in preparation for

shipment of orders.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Ship replacement parts for Parts Sales Department, including picking correct part and quantity according to the pick list, packaging appropriately, and posting parts picked to Oracle by order and running packing list.
  • Complete shipping procedures depending on the required method of shipment.
  • Pick parts for assembly jobs or shipping using the job pick sheets; post parts to the job on Oracle and deliver parts to the proper department or staging areas.
  • Load trucks.
  • Move material to floor stock locations for storage.
  • Utilize the Oracle computer system to look up parts, process orders, review customer accounts, etc. 
  • Apply bubble wrap and/or stretch wrap to equipment prior to crating.
  • Crate machinery and equipment for shipment.
  • Safely use air tools, chop saw, saws-all, and power drill to construct shipping crates.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Perform cycle counts as required.
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.
  • Complete internal forklift training prior to use of company forklift equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Alert Parts Sales Coordinator of all backorders and/or order discrepancies
  • Provide positive feedback and suggestions of work flow and capacity

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: 

  • Not applicable.

 

Education Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Must possess working knowledge of and experience in the use of power and hand tools.
  • Prior forklift experience is preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to follow written instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment is required.
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systems.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to normal office conditions and usual office equipment like telephone, personal computer, reports and files.  The employee will also be exposed to normal conditions of a manufacturing facility.   The employee will be regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee will frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.  When working on machinery, employee will bend, stoop and crouch on a regular basis and constantly move about to coordinate work.  The employee is required to regularly set up, adjust, assemble, control, test and operate machinery.
