Job Description

The Customer Excellence Manager is a hands-on leadership role ensuring operational excellence within a partially automated distribution center. This position acts as a bridge between warehouse operations, inventory management, customer service, and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration and customer service; support daily operations (receiving, picking, replenishment, shipping); monitor and improve productivity, quality, and service levels.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity (SOX compliance); manage cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, optimize slotting, and handle dead stock/backorders.
  • Track performance KPIs (throughput, downtime, errors); collaborate with suppliers, IT, and maintenance teams; conduct root cause analysis.
  • Lead Lean initiatives (5S, standardization, waste reduction) and cross-functional projects (layout redesign, automation integration, digitalization); develop business cases including ROI analysis.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of 10–20 people (administration, customer service, continuous improvement, inventory control, and quality).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Logistics, or Engineering with 5 years of leadership experience in logistics or supply chain, including experience in an automated environment.
  • Expertise in inventory management and WMS.
  • Experience in project management and Lean methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis (Excel, Power BI).
