POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate handling, storage, movement, and documentation of turbine engine parts, tooling, and consumables. This role ships and receives goods while maintaining strict compliance with FAA/EASA/TC regulations, customer requirements, and company quality standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining traceability, inventory accuracy, and on‑time engine deliveries in a regulated aviation environment.


Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizen/permanent resident). This position does not offer visa sponsorship.


Security Requirement

This position involves access to goods and technical data controlled under Canada's Controlled Goods Program (CGP), administered by Public Services and Procurement Canada. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must complete and pass a CGP security assessment in accordance with the Defense Production Act and the Controlled Goods Regulations. The assessment evaluates factors including identity, criminal history, and any matters that may indicate a risk of unauthorized transfer of controlled goods. Continued employment is conditional on maintaining CGP authorization throughout the term of employment.


Material Handling and Logistics

· Support shop floor material requests and kitting activities to meet production schedules.

· Move materials safely using appropriate handling equipment and procedures.

· Coordinate returns, repairs, and warranty shipments with vendors and customers.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and receiving area.


Inventory Management

· Receive, inspect, label, and store aircraft engine parts and materials.

· Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/MRP systems.

· Ensure full traceability of parts and documentation per FAA, EASA, TC, and AS9110 requirements.

· Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

· Maintain proper storage conditions for serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine, and hazmat materials.


Logistics & Receiving

· Process inbound and outbound shipments of turbine engines, engine modules, and components.

· Verify parts, quantities, certifications, and documentation upon receipt.

· Prepare shipping paperwork, certifications, and packing in accordance with aviation and export requirements.

· Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.

· Ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR, Canadian export controls, and customer shipping instructions


Compliance & Quality

· Identify and escalate nonconforming material and documentation issues.

· Support audits and inspections by internal quality teams and regulatory authorities.

· Follow all company safety, quality, and security policies.


Required Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· 3+ years of experience in aerospace materials, inventory, or logistics (MRO environment preferred).

· Experience handling aircraft or turbine engine parts with traceability requirements.

· Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Quantum, etc.).

· Ability to read and interpret aviation documentation (Form 1, 8130-3, C of C, packing lists).

· Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

· Forklift or material handling equipment experience


Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
