Job description

Customer Service Representative

Shingle & Gibb Automation has an immediate opening for a full-time Customer Service Representative at our Amherst, NY location. If you are a customer service professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Shingle & Gibb Automation has an exciting opportunity for you!

In this role you will:

  • Provide customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process quotes and orders for customers including expediting, model, part number and pricing review.
  • Update orders to comply with customer changes.
  • Maintain delivery performance on orders, coordination of information and communication between customer, outside sales and our vendors.
  • Provide timely communication back to the customer through all stages of the quote and order processing.

What you bring to the table:

  • Ability to handle high volume of email and telephone interactions.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a strong ability to organize data from different sources (email, phone conversations, teams messages, etc.)
  • Exude a pleasant and friendly personality and demonstrate a passion for the customer.
  • Ability to multi-task while focusing on the importance of details.
  • Strong computer skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (formerly 'Office')
  • Epicor P21 experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with distributorship operations is a plus
  • Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to interface with all levels of management both internal and with external customers.
  • Continuous learning of and training on our product lines and technologies.
  • Ability to work in an open office environment.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have reliable internet connection (for hybrid/remote work)
  • Minimum education required- high school diploma

Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:15 am to 5 pm

Compensation details:

The expected rate of pay for this position is $22.00 per hour - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This position will include in-office training for the first couple months, followed by a flexible hybrid schedule during normal business hours Monday-Friday.
