1. Planning the sequence of pipe installation to avoid interference with obstructions and other disciplines.
2. Cutting of pipe using band saws, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.
3. Aligning of pipe spools using come-a-longs, tuggers and other rigging tools.
4. Threading of pipe using threading machine or hand threaders.
5. Assembles and installs variety of metal pipe fittings, including those made of stainless steel, CUNI, and
carbon steel.
6. Joins piping by means of threaded and welded connections.
7. Uses all required measuring tools to confirm that pipe is fabricated as per drawings.
8. Secures pipes to structural supports with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools.
9. Assist with pressure testing of lines as per client specifications and governing code.
10. Operate various power tools in accordance with company safety policies.
11. Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
12. Adjust to work-related demands.
13. Demonstrate willingness for continuous self-improvement.
14. Persist at difficult tasks despite unexpected obstacles.
15. Demonstrate conscientiousness and dependability to produce quality results.
16. Recognize company goals and maintain safety culture.
17. Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers.
18. Other related duties may be assigned.
