Position Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate crane-mounted drilling equipment to drill holes of specific sizes for concrete pier and footing
- Determine the safety of the load and observe load hookup
- Regulate crane and hoist movement by manipulating or depressing crane controls such as pedals, levers, and buttons
- Use hoisting attachments such as hook, sling, electromagnet, or bucket as required by the load
- Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism
- Daily inspection of crane for defective parts and notification of supervisor of any defects or malfunctions
- Complete critical lift plan checklist and sign off upon completion
Position Requirements
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in foundation drilling
- Knowledge and ability to use crane-mounted drill attachments
- Knowledge of construction practices in the foundation drilling industry
- Possession of necessary tools and knowledge to work with drilling equipment
- Knowledge of proper signals for crane work
