Job description

Overview
RDI is looking for a Lab Technician to support our research and testing operations. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with our instruments, running and troubleshooting assays, and helping ensure that lab projects stay on track. This isn’t a routine results-reporting role — you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values accuracy, adaptability, and problem-solving.

About RDI
RDI is a nimble, full-service CRO focused on accelerating in vitro diagnostic (IVD) development. We bring together clinical sites, physicians, and our own CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited lab to help diagnostics innovators run smarter, faster studies—without the friction. From study startup through FDA submission, we ensure sites are equipped, patients are cared for, and timelines stay on track. At RDI, every role is tied to real-world impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Organize and prepare reagents, consumables, and clinical samples for testing.
  • Run samples, calibrations, and QC on automated analyzers; escalate issues to the Lab Director.
  • Enter and manage data (including barcode generation, data exports, and logs).
  • Troubleshoot instrument issues and coordinate service support when needed.
  • Maintain lab operations, including temperature logs, supply tracking, and documentation.
  • Record and prepare testing documentation such as run-time reports and case records.
  • Support project needs with flexibility to meet deadlines and repeat or troubleshooting runs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Lab Director to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience with automated analyzers in hospital, academic, or industry labs (Siemens analyzer experience strongly preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline; OR recent graduates pursuing MedTech or CLS certification.
  • Hands-on experience processing blood, urine, and swab specimens.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and comfort working in a fast-paced team environment.

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
