Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Cyber Architect, with a focus in adversarial test and exploitation. This position supports the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Cyber Range™ (ACR). The candidate will be responsible for performing a wide array of cyber security assessments and testing to evaluate the security posture of embedded aviation platforms, identify vulnerabilities, develop exploits, and recommend mitigations. The successful candidate will possess advanced architectural knowledge of one or more aviation platforms, including hardware, software, and logical architectures, and will be capable of applying that knowledge to conduct adversarial cyber assessments, develop and execute exploits, and recommend effective mitigations.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrating knowledge of system design, development, testing, and integration, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Performing vulnerability assessments / penetration tests of embedded systems and supporting IT systems
- Tools and capabilities development to support vulnerability assessments
- Support analysis and development of cyber assessments concepts in support of customers high level requirements and mission needs
- Formal documentation and reporting of discovered vulnerabilities to senior leaders
- Continued development of personal and ACR TTPs in the arenas of: Hardware/Software/RF/Embedded Network analysis and reverse engineering
Must be a US citizen. This position is located in the Fort Worth, TX facility and offers possible assisted relocation. The selected candidate must possess a secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering. Computer Security, Information Technology, or another related field.
- Demonstrated experience with the real-time embedded systems (avionics systems or similar) Architecture, Operating Systems and Networking Fundamentals.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient technical writing skills.
Desired skills
- Ability to perform penetration testing or adversarial testing of embedded systems.
- Experience with software, hardware, embedded networks, and/or radio frequency analysis/reverse engineering as applied to avionics platforms.
- Proficiency with programming languages for multiple domains including shell scripting, high-level languages, and assembly.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $150,800 - $265,880. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $173,400 - $300,495. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
