Radiation Oncologist Opportunity at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission

Location: Shawnee Mission, Kansas City

Position: Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist with subspecialty interest in GYN and Brachytherapy.

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our dynamic, patient-centered radiation oncology team. Ideal candidate would have interest in brachytherapy and working with our Gyn Oncology team. We have a brand-new brachytherapy suite with the most up-to date technology and two vaults that includes an MRI linear accelerator. The new physician should have an interest to see multiple tumor sites as well including breast, lung, CNS and head & neck. As a leader in advanced cancer care, we provide innovative treatment solutions within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Hospital Description

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, located in Merriam, Kansas, is a 504-bed acute care hospital serving the Kansas City metro area, particularly Johnson County. Formerly Shawnee Mission Medical Center, it joined the AdventHealth network in 2019, guided by a mission to provide faith-based, whole-person care that nurtures physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Established in 1962, the hospital has deep roots in the community, originating from a collaboration between local leaders, the Johnson County Medical Society, and the New Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church to meet the area’s growing healthcare needs.
