Job description

Job Title: SharePoint Administrator
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to oversee the management, optimization, and support of our SharePoint environment. The ideal candidate brings at least seven years of hands-on experience administering SharePoint platforms, ensuring high availability, secure access, and seamless collaboration across the organization. This role is responsible for system configuration, governance, troubleshooting, enhancements, and supporting business users with scalable SharePoint solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server environments, ensuring reliable performance and security.
• Manage site collections, libraries, lists, permissions, workflows, metadata, and content types to support business needs.
• Monitor system health, performance, and storage usage, implementing corrective actions and optimizations when needed.
• Develop and maintain governance standards, policies, documentation, and best practices for system use and security.
• Troubleshoot SharePoint issues related to access, functionality, integrations, and performance, providing timely resolution.
• Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of SharePoint solutions, pages, custom views, and automation workflows (Power Automate, InfoPath, PowerApps, etc.).
• Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable SharePoint solutions.
• Oversee user onboarding, training, guidance, and serve as the subject matter expert for SharePoint functionality.
• Manage integrations with Microsoft 365 tools, Teams, OneDrive, and third-party applications.
• Coordinate updates, patches, and system migrations to ensure continuity and platform optimization.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on SharePoint administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server (2016/2019), Microsoft 365, and related services.
• Experience managing permissions, site structures, search configuration, versioning, workflows, and governance.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Strong understanding of security practices, compliance, and data governance in SharePoint environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex SharePoint issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting end users and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft Purview.

Education
