What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is seeking an experienced Internal CommunicationsSpecialist to join our Communications team in Nashville!
This role plays a key part in designing and executing internalcommunication strategies that effectively share important information, updates,and announcements across the organization. With support from our CommunicationAssistant, the Internal Communications Specialist will bring our purpose andpriorities to life for employees, whether they're in the office, at home, or onjob sites, ensuring they feel informed, engaged, and connected to thebusiness.
Serving as a communications business partner to teams across thecompany, you'll act as an embedded partner, translating goals and initiativesinto clear, compelling messaging. A sharp eye for detail and strong writingskills are essential as you create and manage engaging content across internalchannels, including the intranet (SharePoint), newsletters, emails, andcompany-wide announcements.
Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies that inform, engage, and align employees.
  • Partner with the Communications Assistant to coordinate distribution schedules, maintain communications calendars, and execute campaigns.
  • Create, manage, and optimize content across internal channels, including the intranet (SharePoint), newsletters, emails, digital signage, and company-wide announcements.
  • Own and support the ongoing management, organization, and enhancement of the company intranet, ensuring content is current, accessible, and employee-focused.
  • Serve as a communications partner to teams across the company, providing guidance and support on internal messaging.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, leadership, and other departments to ensure timely, accurate communication of important updates.
  • Assist in creating presentation materials, posters, and other collateral for internal events and initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and recommend improvements.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in an internal communications role.
  • Demonstrated experience working within and on backend of SharePoint is a must; experience managing or revamping an intranet is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a natural storyteller.
  • Highly detail-oriented and exceptionally organized.
  • Creative thinker who can approach challenges with fresh ideas.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
