Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Server & Infrastructure Engineer responsible for the administration, optimization, security, and reliability of enterprise server and infrastructure environments. This role supports critical business and manufacturing operations by ensuring high availability, performance, recoverability, and operational stability across on-premises and cloud-based platforms.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, Microsoft cloud technologies, enterprise storage, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security best practices. This individual will collaborate across IT teams to continuously improve infrastructure reliability, standardization, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform Operations

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux server environments across physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted platforms
  • Design, implement, and support highly available virtualization environments including VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies
  • Manage enterprise storage environments including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage platforms
  • Perform patch management, lifecycle management, capacity planning, performance tuning, and system upgrades
  • Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and performance to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational procedures

Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

  • Administer Microsoft cloud technologies including:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft 365
    • Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive
  • Support hybrid infrastructure connectivity and integration between on-premises and cloud services
  • Assist with cloud optimization, identity management, and service reliability initiatives

Security, Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Implement and support infrastructure security best practices including:
    • Least-privilege access
    • Identity protection
    • System hardening
    • Logging and monitoring
  • Design, maintain, and test backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Support vulnerability remediation efforts and participate in audit and compliance activities
  • Maintain high-availability and recoverability standards for critical systems

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Participate in infrastructure design, implementation, migration, and modernization projects
  • Collaborate with networking, security, application, and end-user support teams to ensure seamless system integration
  • Support production, manufacturing, and operational technology platforms
  • Participate in after-hours support for critical outages, upgrades, maintenance windows, and emergency response activities

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in server, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering roles
  • Strong experience administering Windows and Linux server environments
  • Experience supporting VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms
  • Experience managing enterprise storage environments including SAN/NAS solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure security principles and best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to document technical standards, procedures, and configurations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
