Job description

Core Responsibilities
SharePoint Experience Ownership
• Own the SharePoint experience, including intranet, hub sites, navigation, and page design
• Serve as the experience and usability authority for SharePoint across the organization
• Balance enterprise-wide standards with flexibility for local business needs
Strategy & Standards
• Define experience standards, design patterns, templates, and guidance
• Establish and maintain governance for site structure, content quality, and lifecycle
• Maintain and evolve the SharePoint experience roadmap
Design & Optimization
• Design and optimize SharePoint pages and sites using UX, content design, and information architecture best practices
• Improve findability through thoughtful navigation, structure, and search optimization
• Ensure SharePoint experiences are accessible, mobile-friendly, and aligned with brand standards
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Act as a trusted advisor to Internal Communications on campaign, storytelling, and content use cases
• Work closely with IT on platform capabilities, enhancements, and M365 releases
• Consult with business partners to translate requirements into scalable, global SharePoint solutions
Adoption & Enablement
• Lead adoption efforts through guidance, education, and advocacy-not direct authority
• Develop playbooks, onboarding materials, templates, and best-practice documentation
• Coach site owners and content creators to improve quality, consistency, and usability
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
• Analyze usage data, search insights, and user feedback
• Identify experience gaps and recommend and implement enhancements
• Stay current on the M365 roadmap and proactively assess impact to users
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience working with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365
• Demonstrated experience leading intranet or digital workplace experiences
• Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and content strategy
• Experience influencing stakeholders without formal authority
• Ability to translate business needs into practical, user-centered solutions
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Internal Communications or Colleague Experience teams
• Familiarity with Viva Connections, Viva Engage, and M365 ecosystem tools
• Experience with SharePoint analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, or Power BI dashboards
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience supporting platform adoption or change initiatives
