Job Description

General Description:

Under minimum supervision, the 9920 Public Service Aide, Assistant to Professionals assists in the performance of a variety of duties related to the functions of the assigned departmental unit; carries out complex tasks on a limited basis in direct support of professional level personnel; may be responsible for researching and compiling data; assists in the preparation of related reports and documents; assists in the implementation of programs and assists in various administrative duties.

Locations:

Public Service Aides will be reporting to various SFPUC locations depending on assignment:

  • Business Services - 525 Golden Gate Avenue, SF CA 
  • External Affairs - 525 Golden Gate Avenue, SF CA
  • Human Resource Services - 525 Golden Gate Avenue, SF CA
  • Hetch Hetchy Water and Power Division - Moccasin, CA (140 miles east of SF bay area)
  • Infrastructure - 525 Golden Gate Avenue, SF CA
  • Power Enterprise - 651 Bryant Street or 525 Golden Gate Avenue, SF CA
  • Water Enterprise - 1657 Rollins Road, SF CA
  • Wastewater Enterprise - 750 Phelps Street, SF CA
Qualifications

Education: 

  • Applicants must have completed at least 30 Semester units (45 Quarter units) in an accredited college or university.

                                                                OR

  • high school graduates who are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
