The Resident Services Manager of Assisted Living is responsible for organization, supervision and administration of the total resident care program, including coordination of social, medical, psychological, spiritual and physical services for residents.  


Salary - Exempt Position - Full Time 3:30pm-12:00am


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Current Personal Care Home Administrator license preferred 
  • Two years' experience in gerontological nursing preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations required 
  • Ability to instruct, direct and lead team members required
  • Computer skills required

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing resident care policies, procedures, objectives and standards of practice.
  • Responsible for or makes recommendations regarding the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision and implementation corrective action for department team members. 
  • Responsible for the completion of all required record keeping related to these processes. 
  • Makes at least daily rounds to assess quality of care performance and teamwork by employees, assuring quality service.  
  • At least annually, evaluates job performance of department team members as assigned by Manager/Administrator.
  • Prepares schedules within budgetary guidelines, providing adequate staff to assure quality of care and to meet required personal care hours.
  • Conducts regular team meetings with all shifts for purposes of planning, coordinating and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Supervises and maintains appropriate resident records and prepares and submits reports as required by community policy and governmental agencies.
  • Coordinates department activities with other department activities to maximize service to residents.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal care needs of residents are met.
  • May act in the absence of the Administrator.
  • May maintain current licenses and registrations for team members.
  • May maintain medical records for all team members.
  • Responsible for comprehensive resident assessment and development and implementation of the resident plan of care.
  • Knowledgeable of resident admission process and able to proceed with admission process, maintaining compliance with all organizational policies and applicable regulations.
  • Maintains adequate supply and equipment inventory for nursing team.
  • Participates in the development of the annual budget. Maintains fiscal control of the department as measured by monthly financial statements.
  • Relates all necessary resident and staffing information to Administrator. 
  • Assesses accidents involving residents, nursing staff and visitors and develops and implements recommendations for follow-up.
  • Uses standard precautions to prevent spread of communicable diseases; enforces and trains proper infection control practices to staff, residents and visitors.
  • Actively participates in all required in-service programs and staff meetings, including program presentation.  
  • Evaluates resident services and takes appropriate action to ensure quality service to residents.
