Job description

C & B Operations, LLC has grown over 35 years to include thirty-eight John Deere dealerships in six states currently has an opening for a Service Writer/Office Administrator at its John Deere dealership in Plentywood, MT. The position reports to the service manager and will work primarily in the service department, but will also have some office administrative tasks as well. If you have strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service in a fast-paced work environment, then this is the job for you!

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinates service schedules, repair approvals, and customer communications.
  • Reviews work orders for accuracy, processes invoices, and closes completed repairs.
  • Processes warranty claims and coordinates warranty parts returns.
  • Maintains accurate customer, equipment, and service records.
  • Monitors technician time, attendance, efficiency, and repair progress.
  • Answers phones, greets customers, and resolves service-related questions.
  • Processes accounts payable and assists with accounts receivable collections.
  • Prepares deposits and reconciles cash and credit card transactions.
  • Processes employee timecards, leave, onboarding paperwork, and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintains organized service records, supplies, vehicles, and department documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service, administrative, accounting, or service department experience, required.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, billing, and financial transactions.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn business software.
  • Ability to handle confidential customer, employee, and financial information.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
