Job description

Description:

As a team member of the warranty staff, you will assist the Warranty Manager with processing and managing warranty claims, as well as any internal work orders throughout the Service Department.


Responsibilities:

  • Processes parts and service warranty claims including computation of charges of shop work for all locations with the direction from the Warranty Manager and Extended Warranty Manager.
  • Assists Warranty Managers and Corporate Service Manager in maximizing admin efficiency and return on warranty claims.
  • Assists in implementing standardized warranty claim processes for all locations including expiring machine warranty, closing open warranty jobs, and submitting warranty extensions, and over the counter parts.
  • Works with service managers to ensure there are no expired Product Improvement Programs
  • Communicates to departmental management about warranty status on a regular basis
  • May assist the Extended Warranty Manager with quoting, selling, and administering extended warranty.
  • Monitors and processes internal work orders in business system for entire Service Department.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 2+ years of administration experience
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams, email, and basic computer tools to stay organized and communicate with the team
  • Knowledge of John Deere equipment and sales applications, plus a basic understanding of order-fulfillment processes preferred
  • General mechanical knowledge preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience


Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
