Description
Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.
MD&A's Repairs Division is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to manage projects and project managers/engineers within the operational scope for the Machining Services (MS) division at Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis (MD&A).
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Support review and input needs of customer requested scopes of work
  • Assist with all training programs and keep all records current
  • Assist in pre job meeting that will require travel to site
  • Create Shop/On-Site job schedules
  • Review/Correct and issue all job reports to customers
  • Assign in shop and on-site crews to perform awarded work scopes
  • Perform performance reviews for each assigned PM/PE and technicians on a regularly assigned basis
  • Schedule/support any type of customer job requirements (i.e. drug testing and on-site training)
  • Assist assigned PM/PE and technicians with all pre-job requirements
  • Manage in-shop and on-site project schedules with PM/PE assistance
  • Manage / coordinate Machining Services needs with other divisions within our STL facility
  • Manage emails, letters, packages, phone calls and other forms of correspondence
  • Support customer presentations and organized customer activities
  • Create and update databases and records, personnel and other data
  • Manage and support all Machining Services procedures as well as the creation of new ones
  • Support EWA's in-shop and on-site to make sure we meet committed timeframes
  • Assist colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so
  • Support / assist with soliciting new employees to help grow the business as well as their continued training needs

Requirements
  • Meet all required background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and any other applicable pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Minimum of Associates degree in relatable field, Bachelors greatly preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Machining experience in similar industries.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficient with industry's software and computer skills, i.e., Microsoft suite, CAD, SolidWorks.
  • Strong industry business and financial skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Available to work operational hours of the position, to include but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to travel when required.
