PLM Change Analyst
Teamcenter Configuration Management | Automotive & Defense

We are seeking a PLM Change Analyst to support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, configuration management, and engineering change activities in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This role supports complex product development programs by managing Teamcenter, engineering change notices (ECNs), bill of materials (BOMs), product structures, software configuration management, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams within highly regulated industries such as automotive, aerospace, and defense.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage product lifecycles and engineering change processes within the PLM environment.
  • Support configuration management activities for product structures, part numbers, drawings, software, and engineering requirements.
  • Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Bill of Materials (BOM) releases, drawing releases, part releases, and software lifecycle changes.
  • Maintain product configuration accuracy, including part attributes, release workflows, and approval processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of product changes.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret product lifecycle and configuration data to support engineering decisions.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed engineering changes and perform change readiness assessments.
  • Develop implementation strategies that support successful adoption of product and process changes.
  • Coordinate change management activities across multiple functional organizations to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback throughout the change process and incorporate recommendations into implementation plans.
  • Facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings by preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Perform day-to-day transactional PLM activities while maintaining configuration integrity and compliance.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or related liberal arts discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years of product configuration management experience supporting product structures, parts, drawings, software, and requirements management.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in a highly regulated industry such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, or DoD.
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience using Teamcenter.
  • Experience supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and configuration management tools for complex products.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management principles, engineering change processes, and product lifecycle management best practices.
  • Experience managing engineering changes, BOMs, part releases, drawing releases, and software configuration management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must successfully complete background screening, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three (3) or more years supporting Defense or Automotive industry programs.
  • Detailed knowledge of Configuration Management standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience supporting formal Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes.
  • Familiarity with product data management and engineering release workflows in regulated manufacturing environments.
