Job description

All team members are responsible for giving customers a great first impression of The Halal Guys. When a customer arrives at The Halal Guys, they must always receive a warm and sincere welcome, and as they depart, they should receive a heartfelt thank you.

Team Members should perform the following tasks with exemplary grace, thoroughness, efficiency, diligence and style:

  • Understand thoroughly and articulate with enthusiasm the details of The Halal Guys’ food menu and beverages

  • Anticipate what the customer wants and does not want

  • Know how and when to provide what the customer needs, wants and does not yet know they want, tactfully and with confidence

  • Take the extra step to turn good service into great service and make it an experience each customer will remember

  • Teach and lead other members of the service team

  • Act as the consummate host, always looking for ways to exceed our customer’s expectations

Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the restaurant. 

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently completes all sales transactions

  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding hospitality in a friendly environment

  • Greeting customers courteously and explain the menu; knowledge of products

  • Portioning, plating and saucing orders to store standards

  • Assisting all team members with various daily duties and prep work

  • Ringing up orders, checking and expediting orders and maintain cleanliness of own station and certain areas of the restaurant

  • Maintain guest relations in the dining room, troubleshoot any problems that may arise during service

  • Promote the bran at catering and special events

Requirements:

  • Excellent phone etiquette

  • Reliable transportation to and from work

  • Positive, honest, patient and encouraging demeanor

  • Energetic, super friendly and a proactive team player

  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk and perform other physical tasks for hours
