Social Services Director

Are you looking for a great career opportunity with an established health care agency? Look no further! Our Providence Park Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Mobile, AL is currently seeking a Social Services Director. If you have a desire and passion to serve the rehabilitation and healthcare needs in both the long-term and short-term care, to work in a fast-paced geriatric rehabilitation environment, this is the opportunity for you!

Minimum Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • To act as a liaison and representative of the residents' social interests
  • To plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis
  • Assist in developing residents a preliminary and comprehensive assessment and written care plan that identifies the emotional, psychological needs and strengths and/or needs of the residents, assess on an ongoing basis
  • Must establish and maintain relationships with resident and families regarding their rights and responsibilities, encourage residents to participate in the development and review of care plans
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18-years of age
  • Bachelor's degree is Social Work or related field
  • Must have two years of previous experience as a Social Worker
  • Previous SNF or hospital experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of the residents, comfort and positive attitude in communicating with the elderly
