Job description

Overview

The Virtual Server Engineering (VSE) team provides infrastructure design, implementation, and management for virtualized infrastructure and the supporting physical server infrastructure. These services include virtualization platforms, disaster recovery, migration, automation, monitoring, and optimization of the virtual environment.

Virtual Server Engineering uses Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and engineering discipline to design, build and maintain large-scale Virtual Environments with high efficiency and availability using the combination of software and systems engineering practices. In this position, you will leverage an SRE mindset and a set of engineering approaches to running better production systems and optimizations, with efforts focused on limiting time spent on reactive operational work, eliminating manual work through automation, performance tuning, and growing the efficiency of production systems. Our Virtual Server Engineers are responsible for the big picture of how our systems relate and communicate; we use a breadth of tools and approaches to tackle a broad spectrum of problems.

VSEs' culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving, and openness is essential to its success. Our organization brings together people with various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage everyone to collaborate, both within and outside our team, think big, and take risks in a blame-free environment. We promote self-direction to work on meaningful projects while striving to build an environment that provides the support and mentorship needed to learn and grow.

This position is eligible for the TalentQuest employee referral program. If an employee referred you for this job, please apply using the system-generated link that was sent to you.

  • Contribute to systematic exploration, discovery, and recommendation of new and emerging technologies pertaining to VSEs' services.
