Position Overview

Innovatus Technology Consulting is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support new and existing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will assist with the planning, implementation, sustainment, and cybersecurity of multiโ€‘platform, multiโ€‘system networks supporting Marine Corps and Navy environments.

This role requires close collaboration with engineering and cybersecurity teams and includes periodic travel to support customer and program requirements.


Key Responsibilities

For systems and components assigned to Innovatus engineers, the Network Engineer will:

  • Assist in the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of complex, multiโ€‘platform network environments.
  • Support requirements analysis and contribute to efforts to optimize system and network performance.
  • Assist with the fielding and sustainment of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) networks.
  • Support cybersecurity efforts for installed systems and network components (e.g., ESS and related technologies).
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and support of network appliances.
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of physical network components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide onโ€‘call support and touch labor in support of sustained Marine Corps and Navy network operations.
  • Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and sustainment activities to ensure high availability and operational readiness.

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 20% travel is required.
  • Travel locations may include North Carolina, San Diego, CA, and Hawaii, based on program and customer needs.

Required Qualifications
  • Active or current DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience supporting DoD network environments, including classified systems
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with network installation, configuration, and sustainment
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and network appliances
  • Understanding of network performance optimization and troubleshooting
  • Ability to support onโ€‘call operations and occasional afterโ€‘hours work
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting CSfC network infrastructures
  • Experience in Marine Corps or Navy network environments
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles applied to network systems
  • DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+, Network+, or equivalent)
