The Senior Project Manager (Project Manager 2) serves as a strategic partner to SERS leadership, ensuring that modernization efforts, system enhancements, data quality initiatives, and cross-agency integrations are executed with precision, transparency, and alignment with strategic goals. Work centers on planning, directing, and delivering complex, multi-year IT projects that support the agency's mission and strengthen the long-term reliability, efficiency, and member experience of the SERS pension plan. An employee in this position supervises subordinate Project Managers, manages project teams, and coordinates efforts across multiple projects to understand dependencies and cumulative impacts to the organization. The Senior Project Manager also is responsible for leading stakeholder engagement and communication by building strong relationships with internal divisions, employers, member groups, and external partners; developing and executing communication plans; and providing clear, timely updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
