Job description

General Definition: As a representative of the Remington Park Security Team, this position will be providing a visible first line security presence throughout the Remington Park property. As an Armed Security sergeant, they will be expected to effectively and efficiently handle all internal and external client inquiries and requests and the ensure safety and protection of customers. They will be expected to provide direct support to security leadership as required.
Supervision Received: Security Supervisor (Lieutenant)
Supervision Exercised: N/A
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for the safety and well being of guests and fellow employees.
  • Gives directions and provides escort to customers in need.
  • Provides assistance to civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative hearings.
  • may be assigned supervisory and/or administrative activities within a variety of security operations; including, patrol, administration, or other equivalent duties
  • Regularly provides escorts of money and persons in money-handling positions.
  • Patrols all sections of property to identify safety hazards and breaks in security.
  • Interviews, investigates and documents all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
  • Makes lost and found detailed descriptions of people and incidents.
  • Adheres to and ensures all security officers are abiding by company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and enforces internal security regulations.
  • The Security Officer is uniformed, badged distinctively, and is armed.
  • Must be knowledgeable and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED and one to two (1-2) years of previous security services required. Prior military service or civilian law enforcement training or combination of education and experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills to work with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel
  • Operational knowledge in security services protocol
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products: word, excel.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Able to operate various types of office equipment including, but not limited to; personal computers, printers, 10 key adding machines, copy machines, FAX machines, and telephone, typewriter, and photo identification systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Ability to enter a smoke-filled environment as needed OR Must be able to work in a smoke-filled casino environment

Training and Experience:
  • CLEET Training
  • Must be able to pass Title 31Training

Licenses/Certifications/Other:
  • Maintain active CLEET certification
  • Current and active Oklahoma Drivers license
  • Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to be walking, sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time with frequent stooping and bending
  • Regularly required to use hands use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Operate a motor vehicle when required
  • Maintain emotional control under moderate to heavy stress
