We are seeking to hire candidates for our Curriculum Specialist (5208).

Salary Range: $82,342.00-$102,908.00
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, this position is responsible working collaboratively with regional rail, rail transit, bus and technical managers and instructors to create and manage Operations curriculum. The position will design, develop, maintain and track curriculum and training materials.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and/or other stakeholders to create operator curriculum including the following components:
    • Course outlines
    • Course syllabi
    • Lesson plans
    • Classroom activities
    • PowerPoint presentations
    • eLearning Modules
    • Assessments
    • Multimedia supplemental materials such as podcasts, webinars, etc.
  2. Develops and formalizes a robust quality assurance review cycle of all training curriculum using:
    • Needs assesments
    • End of course surveys and student evaluations
    • Assignments and assessments
    • Changing federal regulations
  3. Maintains accurate tracking of all curriculum changes and verson controls.
  4. Recommends instructional methods such as individual or group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises and role-playing appropriate for content and learner characteristics.
  5. Develops measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.
  6. Analyzes student performance data to determine effectiveness of instructional systems, courses, or instructional materials.
  7. Stays informed of advancements in instructional design, adult learning, and transit-specific training methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Human Resource Development or related field with emphasis on the principles of training program design and implementation required.
  • Five (5) years' experience in the design, development and/or conduction of technical training programs, required.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principals required.
  • Experience with eLearning tools and Learning Management Systems required.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences required.
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships at all employee levels required.
  • Strong planning, scheduling and administrative skills required.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) required.
