About the role:

UC is recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Advisor, Research Tenders to join our Research Grants team. This exciting opportunity for an experienced grants, contracts, tendering, or research management professional to play an important role in securing strategic research partnerships and supporting the University's research excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the development of high-quality tender submissions.
  • Manage research contracts and agreements and provide expert advice on research opportunities
  • Contribute to increasing research impact and ensure compliance across a diverse portfolio.
  • Collaborate within the Research Grants and Tenders team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Stakeholder management for identifying and managing externally funded tenders matters, in collaboration with and as primary liaison to faculties.
  • Contributing to the policy and procedure in relation to innovation and commercialization, working closely with UC's Innovation Committee.
  • Maintain tender and contract management systems.

  • Demonstrated experience in tender and contract management, grant administration, research administration, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to prepare persuasive, high-quality tender and proposal submissions.
  • Experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts and agreements.
  • Experience and/or interest in innovation and commercialisation.
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination capabilities.
  • Experience working within the higher education, government, research, or consultancy sectors will be highly regarded.
