Job description

The Opportunity
The Unified Enterprise Architecture Team works with Adobe customers across all levels ranging from C-level executives to operational teams, advising on strategies and technology solutions that power customer-experience transformation and digital innovation. We dive deep into architecture and identify a prioritized path forward for customers, with particular focus on how brands produce, manage, activate, and measure content at scale. Our engagements assess a customer's current-state experience ecosystem architecture, define the future-state technical vision (Northstar Architecture), assess the gaps between the two, and then provide technical leadership across the sales cycle, overcoming technical blockers and communicating the business value of a combined solution of Adobe products to customer team members.
The Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture will manage a team of high-performing professionals who blend technical and business skills to architect solutions for Adobe customers. This role helps brands fully capitalize on the era of digital transformation, enabling them to ideate, produce, manage, deliver, and measure personalized content and experiences across every channel - orchestrated through Adobe's Content Supply Chain solutions including Adobe Experience Manager, Workfront, Creative Cloud, Firefly, GenStudio for Performance Marketing, and Frame.io. The ability to see, measure, and analyze critical factors such as resources, outcomes, and priorities ensures alignment and clarity across the team, helping individuals understand why their work matters.
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture - Industry, this customer-facing leadership role offers a rich opportunity to lead senior and principal architects. This leader will serve as the primary technical partner for a Sales VP or Industry Head and will be accountable for technical leadership within the assigned vertical.
What You'll Do
  • Act in a sponsorship capacity for deals within an assigned patch of business to ensure application of team standard methodologies and procedures while also driving revenue outcomes.
  • Identify, recruit, hire, onboard, empower, grow, enable, and retain top architect talent.
  • Prioritize technical workstreams against capacity while driving technical pipeline progression to meet and exceed bookings targets.
  • Maintain an operational cadence for reporting and updates that effectively communicates deal status to collaborators on and off the architecture team. Interact directly with individual contributors and leaders in presales, sales, product management, delivery (both Adobe and partner), and engineering.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of Adobe products, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Align with Adobe processes and standards to ensure consistency across product pre-sales.
What You Need to Succeed
  • 10+ years of architecture experience in one or more of the following areas: content architecture, marketing technology architecture, and/or data architecture.
  • 10+ years of people management experience. Software presales or sales experience preferred. Strong executive presence, presentation skills, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment where processes and procedures may evolve.
  • Experience with Adobe's Content Supply Chain solutions, including Adobe Experience Manager (Sites and Assets), Workfront, Creative Cloud integrations, Firefly, GenStudio, and Frame.io. Working knowledge of the broader Adobe Experience Cloud and Adobe Experience Platform.
  • Must have: experience with marketing content production and automation, working knowledge of advertising and marketing campaign execution, and hands-on experience with workflow and work management tooling (Workfront or comparable).
  • An understanding of how AI, LLMs, generative AI for content (image, video, copy), and agentic capabilities fit architecturally into martech and content supply chain stacks.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management, content lifecycle governance, brand consistency at scale, and creative-to-marketing handoff patterns.
  • Ability to partner effectively with customer IT and marketing leaders; build rapport with salespeople, sales managers, and other presales staff.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Adobe and partner consultants and delivery leaders.
  • Solid understanding of current technical and architectural trends across key Adobe Experience functional areas.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including conducting research, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and communicate complex ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for learning, resourcefulness, and the ability to quickly absorb new concepts; enthusiasm for industry and technology trends.
  • High level of energy, personal drive, and positivity.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California; routine in-person collaboration with the team and customers is expected
  • Travel as required.
