ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for highly motivated candidates with five or more years of experience in the travel industry to apply to join our Travel department as a Senior Travel Consultant. The candidate must be able to provide premium service to our member community of high-net-worth families and individuals. The Senior Travel Consultant will handle highly complex itinerary consulting and execution, and should be able to easily consult with members. This employee will report to the Senior Director, Travel & Hospitality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Consult (whether over email or phone) on all member travel requests, including advising members regarding destinations, cultures, customs, weather, and activities
  • Book and coordinate transportation (air, train, car, boat, etc.), accommodations, insurance, tours, and activities
  • Create trip itineraries through AXUS Travel App
  • Coordinate with the Hospitality department to make sure lifestyle suggestions are offered and that reservations are confirmed in the itinerary
  • Stay current on new travel industry trends
  • Network within the travel industry
  • Reconfirm all aspects of trip itineraries, no matter how big or small
  • Attend conferences (as scheduled by Head of Travel)
  • Confirm logistical requests separate from trip itineraries
  • Maintain current records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls, emails, CRM activity, and meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least five years of experience operating as a Senior Travel Advisor
  • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, especially with prioritizing tasks and time management
  • Proven track record of success
  • An understanding of the luxury, leisure travel market
  • Ability to book air/hotel/cars/etc. in the Sabre reservation system
  • An understanding of financial processes within the travel industry – generating invoices, processing refunds, prepaying hotels and tours, etc.
  • Ability to handle travel issues, conflicts, complaints, cancellations, rescheduling, etc.
  • Working knowledge of world geography
SALARY RANGE + BENEFITS

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

After 90 days of employment, employees are eligible for:

  • Company-paid medical and dental benefits
  • Company-matched 401(k) - Four Hundred matches 100% of the first 1% of elective contributions and 50% of the next 5%.

  • 10 bank holidays
  • $75 per month stipend towards phone bill coverage

After first year of employment, employees are eligible for:

  • Annual incentive bonus, 3% of annual base salary
