Job description

Restaurant Technologies, the leading provider of highly innovative and value-enhancing bulk cooking oil management services to the food service industry, is currently seeking a Casual Fleet Transporter to join our growing and innovative fleet team. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking to shuttle trucks up to 1 or 2 times a month on an as-needed basis.

Position Description

This position provides national support in the delivery of new trucks to our 40 locations nationwide. This is an amazing opportunity to work on a part-time/casual basis, see different areas of the country, and drive brand new equipment.

This is not a traditional part-time position with a set weekly schedule. Casual Fleet Transporters work on an as-needed basis, based on business needs. Assignments can require multi-day, nationwide travel and flexibility. Due to DOT hours-of-service requirements and the variable nature of assignments, this opportunity is best suited for individuals who have the flexibility to accept travel assignments without conflicts from another full-time work schedule.

This is an hourly position that is not eligible or additional incentives, benefits or other perks, except as required by law.

Working Locations:

This position is based out of Minnesota, in or near Minneapolis/St. Paul and will operate CDL required straight trucks to and from various locations nationwide.

Compensation: $33 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of new vehicles from our upfitter in Minneapolis to our operating locations across the Country

  • Return of vehicles to be retired to Minneapolis

  • Shuttle of vehicles between operating locations

Position Requirements

  • Class B CDL or greater

  • Tanker Endorsement (or willing to obtain prior to starting)

  • Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Card (MEC)

  • Clean driving record

  • Full understanding of FMCSA and HOS / ELD Regulations

  • Ability to plan trips and manage stopping points and hotel reservations

  • Flexibility in schedule, ability to work as needed, up to 1 or 2 times per month on average

  • Ability to communicate arrival and departure times and status of trip

  • Willingness to work on an as-needed basis

  • Ability to travel 100% of the time

  • Minimum of 6 months driving experience

  • Other duties as assigned
